So many great photographs created to choose from for this blog post! The cast and crew of ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) did a great job tech week and opening weekend with their hit show “Footloose” the musical. You have only one more weekend to see the show. My advice is to order tickets now before it sells out!
If you’re not familiar with Footloose I created a promo video on my YouTube channel.
To see all of the photographs created in the past week visit my website.
I also have some posters for sale from the publicity photos I created. Email me if interested.
For SPAC’s upcoming production of “Bye Bye Birdie” they need several photography props for the show. The first one I created was a button for Conrad Birdie that all his zany teenage fans wear in the show. This photos was taken from a cellphone and has several reflections in it but you get the idea!
In addition to creating prints I can also create photo mugs, buttons, and many more!
The Stewartsville Performing Arts Club (SPAC) will be performing “Bye Bye Birdie” young performers edition in a couple of weeks. I created over 40 head shots for them yesterday that will be on display in the lobby as well as the program book.
Show dates are May 15th and 16th at the Stewartsville Middle School. Tickets available at the door and in advance from cast members. It looks to be a great show!
Today’s the day! If you are in the area of the State Theatre this evening stop by between 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.
Photo Gallery Opening – 2014 Freddy Awards
There will be an “Artists Reception” at the State Theatre for the Arts in Easton, PA on Saturday March 21st, 2015, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. This show will feature Dave Dabour’s photographs from the 2014 Freddy Awards. The gallery is open to the public and a show ticket is not required for entry. Metered street parking is available as well as a nearby parking garage that offers a courtesy shuttle to the theater.
The FREDDY© Awards program recognizes and rewards exceptional accomplishments in the production and performance of musical theatre in local high schools in eastern PA and western NJ. The 3-hour LIVE broadcast includes a stellar opening number, performances by nominated musicals, actors and actresses, and presentation of the FREDDY© Awards in 21 award categories. It is the only high school musical awards program in the nation that produces a live television show. The telecast has received numerous broadcast awards, including Mid-Atlantic EMMYs in 2005 & 2011. Dave and another photographer capture the event with photographs of the rehearsals for the show and the actual live performance.
Interested but can’t make March 21st? The gallery will also be open show nights 90 minutes before show start from March 20th – May 2nd 2015. Check the Theater’s web site www.statetheatre.org for show information or contact Dave at dave@dabourphotography.com or (908) 995-7273 for more information.
Kaitlyn & Damian stopped by for some updated couples photographs. The pair recently celebrated a 1 year anniversary together!
I concentrated mostly on still photography for the Greenwich Rockets Championship Boys Baseketball game on a snowy Sunday on March 1, 2015. I did squeeze in some video of them warming up as well as their celebration after winning!
The Greenwich Cheerleaders in action at a recent boys basketball game!
In addition to taking still photos at games I’m now recording some video as well. I generally do photography for the first half and video segments the second half.
