Sun-Snow Shower

WP_000184

Clouds have been increasing all day today. there was a nice sunrise picture I took but it was through the bathroom window screen and didn’t turn out so great. By the time I would have got dressed and went outside, the beauty would have been long gone.

During the early afternoon we actually received a sun-snow shower! Granted its kind of hard to really see the falling snow especially since it was light. Furthermore I snapped this with my camera phone (5 mp Samsung Focus).

Let’s see if the forecast for tonight and tomorrow Am is correct. I have a bad feeling the heavier snow will stay to our east…

Snowtography

Today is a nice winter day. It’s also the calm before the proverbial storm. There is a potent snowstorm forecast to start later on Tuesday. It could hold off until tomorrow night.

Today’s adventure was with a telephoto lens.

Let There Be Light

The new chanderliers! One of them at least...

I was going to blog about how I slaved away helping at my church yesterday painting the parish hall. But instead I decided to post a photo I took of one of the new chandeliers.

I particularly like how the new lights show the warmth of the wood in the ceiling. The old lights were mounted on top and were directed down and you never really noticed the wood tones of the ceiling.

Wizard of Oz

OzBlogWe had more snow today (1.5”) but I’ve been blogging about weather a lot lately.

I had the opportunity to take some PR photos for an upcoming theatrical production. ShowKids invitational theatre (SKIT) will be performing “Wizard of Oz” from February 5-13 on weekends. For tickets please go to www.showkids.org.

Since the cast is triple cast, I couldn’t just post one photo.

Snowy Friday

ccWe picked up 2.1” of new snow today. Schools only had a delay. Thankfully all afterschool activities took place (long story).

This photo was taken while it was still snowing out a little.

More snow is expected on Saturday. Up here it should only be a dusting to 1”. You have to keep an eye on those because sometimes I’ve seen dustings being cleaned up with a snow blower Smile

Epiphany Eve

c5

With tonight being the last night of Christmas lights, I though it would be appropriate to show the Christmas tree one last time.

Tonight is also the kick off to CES 2011. There already have been some photography announcements from Canon and others.
