Labeled And Ready

98Fire-P-Touch-037

I was asked to create some photos for the Stewartsville Volunteer Fire Company showing their use of their brother P-Touch labeler. They basically label anything that stands still long enough Smile. And rightfully so. When they are on a mutual aid call that involves several departments, it’s important to know, when cleaning up, who owns each piece of equipment and where it belongs (truck number).

Wal-Mart Walk-Thru

WalmartWalkthru

Three area fire companies (Stewartsville, Alpha and Huntington) performed a walk-thru of the new Wal-Mart last night. This is necessary so the fire fighters can be familiar with the facilities in the event a fire call occurs there in the future. They look for hazards as well as automated sprinkler systems and fire department connections to name a few.

I wish I could show you more photos but Wal-Mart asked me not to post them due to corporate policy.

Word on the street is the store is scheduled to open near the end of the month.

Keeping The Cross Straight

Helping Hand

The Stewartsville Fire Company was asked by the Lutheran church to assist A & J Construction to straighten out and tighten up the cross on top of the Lutheran church in Stewartsville.

This is a very fitting photo to conclude my Project 365! Look for a follow up post on my Project 365 summary.

And please continue to check back for my blog entries. I would like to have more posts in the coming year on photography tips.

CO Alarm

In what has been a series of CO Alarm calls, 98 Fire responds to another one on Wednesday morning. This is somewhat typical during the first real cold snap in the area and furnaces are working harder than usual. Also CO alarm batteries do not last forever and typically need to be replaced every 5 years.
