🎃 Spooky Dance Portraits 2025: A Hauntingly Beautiful Showcase 🩰🕸️

This year’s Spooky Dance series was a thrilling blend of eerie elegance, bold creativity, and unforgettable performances. From seasoned ambassadors to rising stars, every dancer brought their own brand of magic to the lens—and the results were nothing short of spellbinding.

👻 Makenley may be one of our younger participants, but don’t let her age fool you—she delivered with poise and presence beyond her years. Her portraits radiated quiet strength and a touch of mystery that fit the theme perfectly.

🕷️ Sisters Olivia and Brielle returned with their signature flair, proving once again why they’re fan favorites. Their chemistry, confidence, and commitment to character made every frame a visual treat.

🦇 Adrianna was absolutely spooktacular—her expressions, movement, and costume choices created a cinematic vibe that felt straight out of a Halloween fantasy.

🩸 Welcoming new dance ambassadors Sydney, Molly, and Elijah was a highlight of the season. Each brought their scary best, embracing the theme with bold poses, dramatic lighting, and a fearless attitude that elevated the entire shoot.

🕯️ Kayley’s passion was scarily present—her intensity and emotion lit up the frame, while Annabella’s makeup was a masterpiece in itself, adding layers of drama and depth to her haunting look.

🌒 And finally, newcomer Iris stunned us all. She took direction like a seasoned pro and moved through each setup with grace and confidence. Her portraits are proof that talent and heart shine through, no matter how new you are to the spotlight.

This year’s Spooky Dance portraits weren’t just photos—they were stories, moods, and moments frozen in time. Thank you to every dancer who stepped into the shadows and made them shine.

Stay tuned for more themed sessions and ambassador spotlights as we head into the holiday season!

Senior Portrait Spotlight: Jordin — Dance Ambassador & Theatre Artist

There are some seniors who step in front of the camera and instantly remind you why you love what you do — and for me, Jordin is absolutely one of those people. I’ve known and photographed her for several years now, and every single time she arrives at a session, she brings this bright, genuine energy that makes everyone around her smile. When she officially became a Dabour Photography Dance Ambassador this year, I was beyond excited. It felt like the perfect next chapter in a journey we’ve already been building together.

As part of her ambassador experience, Jordin chose to include a full senior portrait session, and it could not have been more “her.” We created a mix of dance‑inspired portraits, natural outdoor images, and expressive moments that highlight both her artistry and her personality. She’s a beautiful person inside and out — thoughtful, kind, confident, and wonderfully creative.

Jordin trains at Showbiz Kidz Dance Center (@sbkdance), where she shines on the Senior Competition Team. Dance is a huge part of her life, but what makes her even more dynamic is her love for theatre as well — two passions that happen to be some of my favorites too. That blend of movement, storytelling, and emotion shows up in every photo we create together.

This senior year is a big milestone for her, and I’m honored to capture it. From ambassador sessions to dance portraits to her official senior photos, Jordin brings heart, talent, and authenticity to every moment. I can’t wait to see all the incredible things she does next — both on stage and beyond.

Meet Makenley: Our Newest Dance Ambassador

Please join me in welcoming Makenley (@dancingwith_makenley) as our newest dance ambassador! Makenley dances at Showbiz Kidz Dance Studio, and while this was our first official session together as ambassador and photographer, I’ve actually been photographing her for years — both at her studio and at various special photo experiences I’ve offered.

Makenley is talented well beyond her years, and these sunflower field shots prove it. I can’t wait to see what we create together in the year ahead.

Vasilia Makes a Splash: The River Experience Continues

Rounding out the River Experience session is Vasilia, a dance ambassador in training who continues to impress with her posing ability well beyond her experience level. She dances at West Jersey Youth Ballet, right alongside her sister Lily.

Vasilia was also the only dancer brave enough to try a hair flip in the water — and the result speaks for itself.

Claire in the River: A New Ambassador Makes a Splash

New dance ambassador Claire (@Claire.dancing) joined the River Experience session, and she continues to impress every time she’s in front of my camera. Claire dances at West Jersey Youth Ballet, and her comfort in the water showed from the very first splash.

Rylea in the River Fog: A Storm-Kissed Session

Dance ambassador Rylea (@balletlifeofrylea) joined me for a session in my River Experience series — and the weather had other plans for us. Right before we started, it was a warm 85 degrees. Then a summer downpour rolled through and delayed us, dropping the temperature into the mid-70s by the time we got going. The upside: all that rain left behind a beautiful river fog that became the perfect backdrop for these portraits.

Rylea dances at both West Jersey Youth Ballet and Easton Ballet Academy, and it shows in the control and presence she brought to every pose, fog and all.

Lily Returns: Dance Portraits in the River

Returning dance ambassador Lily (@lilyana.en.pointe) joined me for a session with a twist — dance portraits in a nearby river. Lily dances at West Jersey Youth Ballet, and she brought the same control and presence to the water that she brings to the studio, turning every splash into part of the composition.

Meet Becky: New Dance Ambassador, Seasoned Performer

Meet Becky, our newest dance ambassador! Becky dances at West Jersey Youth Ballet (@westjerseyyouthballet), and even though this is her first time joining as an ambassador, her posing skills are far from beginner level — it shows in every frame.

Most of this set was shot in the sunflower field, with one bonus image from a nearby wooden gazebo just next door.

Amelia Returns: First Time in the Sunflowers

So glad to have Amelia (@ameliarosedancer) back as one of our dance ambassadors! Amelia dances at West Jersey Youth Ballet (@westjerseyyouthballet), and this was her very first time out in the sunflower field for a session. She did a fantastic job adapting to the outdoor setting, and the results speak for themselves.

Meet Kayley: Our Newest Dance Ambassador (and Circus Performer!)

Please join me in welcoming Kayley (@kayleyinmotion) as our newest dance ambassador! Kayley dances at West Jersey Youth Ballet (@westjerseyyouthballet), and she comes from serious dance lineage — her older sister Sydney is a current dance ambassador, and another sister, Zoey, is a past dance ambassador who has also helped out as a photo assistant.

One thing that makes Kayley unique: alongside dance, she also performs with a local youth circus. You can spot her Lambertville Youth Circus t-shirt in a few of these shots, right before she traded it for her dance costume.

We even got a shot of Kayley with her sister Sydney together in the sunflower field — always a treat when siblings can share a session.
