Powder Experience – FAQ & Session Guide

📍 Location

All Powder Experience sessions take place at my home studio: 110 Birch Lane, Bloomsbury, NJ

🚗 Parking

You may park:

  • On the street directly in front of the studio
  • In the driveway
  • On the grass on the left-hand side of the driveway

If multiple dancers arrive at once, please pull forward so others can fit behind you.

⏰ Arrival Time

Please arrive by 8:30 PM unless I’ve asked you to come earlier. Arriving on time ensures you’re warmed up, prepared, and ready when your session begins.

🎒 What to Bring

These items help keep you comfortable, safe, and ready for the powder:

  • Dark-colored leotard, dance outfit, or bathing suit Anything you’re comfortable moving in and don’t mind getting powder on.
  • Plenty of older towels
    • One for cleaning yourself off
    • One for your car seat on the way home
  • Change of clothes (optional) Some dancers prefer to change before leaving.
  • A chair to sit on I have some available, but bringing your own guarantees you have one.
  • Water bottle I’ll have extras, but if it’s hot, you’ll appreciate having your own.
  • Older pointe shoes (if you’re on pointe) Powder can be messy — please don’t bring your performance pair.

👗 What to Wear

  • Dark colors photograph best and make the powder pop.
  • Avoid loose clothing that may trap powder or hide your lines.
  • Hair can be worn up or down — choose what feels most “you” for dramatic movement.

🧼 After the Session

Powder brushes off easily.

  • Use your towels to clean up before getting in the car.
  • A quick rinse at home will take care of the rest.
