It may not look it here but we did have a white Christmas this year! It started snowing Christmas eve and we had 1.4” of snow. At midnight the snow had stopped but we had over 1” of snow on the ground.
The white Christmas turned green by later in the day. That was OK since so many folk usually travel.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and got everything they wanted.
I was scheduled to usher at my church at the midnight mass. Traditionally we go to the early evening mass and I wasn’t crazy about staying up so late.
But in doing so allowed us to relax after dinner and before going out with a nice glass of wine by the fireplace in front of the Christmas tree!

I had the pleasure to take some Christmas portraits of Vince and his cousin recently. He looks so handsome doesn’t he! Those eye look right thru you. He was great although I don’t see modeling in his future!
December 14, 2012. About 50 township residents gathered this evening for the 4th annual lighting of the Township Christmas tree. Santa Claus made a surprise visit and handed out candy canes to the children. Plenty of hot chocolate and cookies were also on hand to warm everyone up.
Something magical happened this Christmas Eve – well that too but what I’m talking about is I remembered to bring my camera to church. What’s that you say? Camera at church? Why would you do such a thing? Well our church, Church of the Holy Spirit in Lebanon, NJ still holds candlelight services on Christmas Eve with REAL candles. After the service is over its common for people to take out their point and shoots or phone cameras and snap some pictures like what you see above.

Even though the date on the calendar for Christmas is the same, it always arrives faster than you think. Unfortunately this is only true for those that are not young!

All is relatively quiet this Christmas Eve 2011. I ran some errands this morning. The roads and stores were busier than usual which is to be expected. A quiet dinner is planned then off to usher at church.

I have a memory of doing these when I was a child. I wanted to start doing them again when my kids were little but couldn’t find good stencil nor the “stuff” to make it happen. The stuff turns out to be Glass Wax. I finally found some a few years back (actually I think my mom did). My wife purchased some new stencils from the dollar store recently so off I went. Good “clean” fun (pun intended since Glass Wax, when you wipe it off, actually cleans and shines the glass 
)
