Today’s weather looks to be spring-tacular with highs in the upper 60’s. Tomorrow will be nice but cooler. And for Saturday? You guessed it – rain and perhaps lots of it Saturday night with windy conditions. Oh boy!!

Ever since my daughter was picked to play Tracy Turnblad in SKIT’s upcoming Hairspray I wanted to do this picture. Not sure why but I did. Granted its not perfect but I enjoyed it anyhow!

I attended a PPANJ sponsored session today on how to improve your photographing of children. On hand were two models that were also cousins and related to one PPANJ member. Many good tips were provided by the speaker Michael Barton.

In getting the morning paper today, I noticed some steam rising off of the pool cover from the overnight rain.
After I took this photo with my Samsung Focus, I was at first disappointed I couldn’t really see the steam but loved it anyhow because of the effect the sunshine has on the picture.

I was finishing up the Bye Bye Birdie photos with some picture collages. I have this great program which does colleges like this that I don’t use as often as I should. So this was an excuse to take it out for a spin on a rainy afternoon.

The Forest Service was performing a preventative burn in Pohatcong twp along I-78 near Oberly Rd. I first found out about this via a 911 report of a brush fire report from a motorist on I-78. By the time I got close enough to photograph, the smoke was not as impressive as when I was driving towards it.

While taking the publicity photos for SKIT’s upcoming Hairspray! musical, most of the group shots fell over the seamless backdrop I provided. Nothing a few hours in Photoshop can’t fix!!

I believe strongly in educating yourself on a regular basis for things you want to get better at. After all a professional athlete just doesn’t show up for a game without plenty of practice during other times.
I attended the “Power of Passion” 2011 Photography Tour by Sandy Puc’ and Gerry Ghionis last evening. Their focus was on Wedding Photography. I recommend the tour. They only have a few cities left but you can find out more information and register by going here.
