2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 4,100 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 7 years to get that many views.

Wedding Photography in Hunterdon County New Jersey

Voorhees-Marcigliano-716I am very excited to share some of the beautiful photographs of the bride and groom, Amy and Jon from their enchanting wedding. The wedding took place at the historic Pattenburg United  Methodist Church in Asbury, NJ. The reception took place at the RiverView Banquet Facility in Bloomsbury, NJ.

The wedding party was incredibly fun-loving, and the resulting photos were full of energy and just awesome for us to photograph!

The online wedding Gallery can be found here.

Sand Dunes

On a recent trip to Michigan, our hosts talked about going to the nearby sand dunes and four wheeling around. The picture above is what i expected. However once we got there I realized it was much, much, more.

Center Support Bridge

I always wanted to take a picture of a bridge like this. I never expected the first time would be while driving in a car over it! It was even unexpected too – I just saw it as I was driving and quickly got out the camera.. So this was taken with my trusty Samsung focus cell phone. I was pleased with the result.

Crowded Nest

Crowded Nest

Here’s an updated photo of the bird nest (Finches?) in the from of my house in the hanging flower pot. There were six (6) eggs. As you can see they hatched but I’m not sure if there’s six little ones in there. It just looks like a sea of humanity!

Somehow the mother has been hanging in there with the gusty winds during thunderstorms over the past few days.

Storm Clouds

Before last nights evening rain deluge, the sky looked pretty omnious – even more so than this photo depicts.

All together we received over 1.3″ of rain from all the storms. Most of the rain (1.04″) came with the early morning thunderstorms. Somehow I managed to squeeze in mowing the grass…

I have the pleasure of taking corporate headshots on occasion. Here is a new lawyer to a local law firm (Florio, Perrucci, Steinhardt, & Fader). Look up Justin if you need assistance!

Cold Morning

c8

This morning I finally got the picture I wanted to show you – what a rhododendron plant looks like when its really cold out. The plans sense and react to the temperature and curl up and droop. Once the day warms up they go back to looking more normal.

Some light snow is forecasted for tomorrow so perhaps there will be plenty of snow photographs to share!
