On a recent trip to LBI, Watching the tall waves break at the shore. This was taken with a point and shoot and then cropped and zoomed further hence the slightly pixelated look.

LBI Luxury

I had an opportunity to stay at a friends relative’s house on LBI recently. It’s a gorgeous house located in Beach Haven about 1 mile south of Fantasy Island.
To the left is a photograph of the kitchen.

Motion At Night

After chasing the sunset, I wanted to get some night pictures showing motion. Being near Fantasy Island provided many opportunities.

Curling At The Beach

A nice shot of a breaking wave at the shore. One of these days I’ll get a waterproof camera and get some of these shots while in the water!

Sunset Over the Bay

Went out specifically to catch some sunset shots. All went well for the most part with the exception that some clouds rolled in just as the sun started setting. You can start to see some of these gathering. They did generate some nice sunset cloud photos on the positive side.

Windy Morning

Windy morning at the beach. Good news the wind died down enough to raise an umbrella in the afternoon and salvage a beach day!
Reflections on the Beach
There were some nice reflection opportunities on the beach thanks to low tide in the morning.
My oldest daughter was investigating these baby clam creatures that were washing up in the tide and trying to burrow themselves in the sand before they were noticed. When you pick them up in your hand you can actually feel them moving!
The ocean was very calm although you wouldn’t know it perhaps from this shot. We saw these two life guards paddle out on their surf boards on a training run and were gone easy for 1/2 hour. They went out so far before returning that you could barely see them!
Visible only at low tide, the rock jetty near where we usually stay. There were several sea gulls hanging out near the water looking for snacks. I saw several of them eat small crabs whole!
