While recently visiting a warehouse club I was impressed with the stack of batteries on display. Not that this is unusual but on Long Island were hurricane Irene recently struck, batteries are at a premium. I was inside a Home Depot the day before Irene hit and they were going like candy. I asked the employee if he had any D’s left and he handed me the last package!
