10 Years of Movement: Dance Portraits at ShowBiz Kidz

A Decade of Dance Excellence There is a unique energy that fills a dance studio, and at ShowBiz Kidz Dance Center, that energy is truly something special. For over 10 years, I’ve had the honor of serving as their official photographer, and every season I am blown away by the growth, discipline, and pure joy these performers bring to the lens.

Three Days, Hundreds of Dancers The sheer talent at ShowBiz Kidz is so vast it takes us three full days to capture every solo, duo, and troupe! From the youngest tiny tots to the advanced competitive dancers, the dedication from both the students and the fantastic teachers at this studio is evident in every frame.

Whether it’s the intricate details of a costume or the perfect lines of a seasoned performer, these sessions are about more than just a photo—they are a celebration of the hard work put in all year long.

Happy Sweet 16 Addy!

There is something incredibly special about watching a performer grow up through my camera lens. I have had the absolute privilege of photographing Addy @addyson.hubert for many years now, starting from her early days at ShowBiz Kidz Dance Studio.

Addy isn’t just a talented dancer; she is a true collaborator. She has been a “pro” in some of my most creative and demanding sessions, from the high-energy Rain Experience to the messy, artistic Powder Sessions. Her ability to bring grace and athleticism to every frame is truly remarkable.

Most recently, I had the honor of capturing some beautiful portraits of Addy with her brother. Seeing her alongside a proud US Marine was a touching reminder of the strength and love within her family.

Now, as she reaches this milestone “Sweet 16,” I am so excited to be there to capture the party! It is an honor to document these core memories for Addy and her family as she begins this next exciting chapter.

Happy Birthday, Addy! Keep dancing, keep shining, and enjoy every second of your big day!

I’ve been working with Showbiz Kidz Dance Studio for many years. In fact both of my daughters attended there as dancers long ago!

Last year like many dance studios was different becasue of Covid. There were no formal dance portraits last year. In fact there was no recital for this dance studio last year!

I’m very happy with how the dance portraits turned out this year! Above is only a small sample of some of the many portraits I was able to create for all the fantastic dancers. These are the older dancers. In another post, I’ll highlight some of the younger ones!
