ARC Performing Arts Brings Frozen Kids to Life

There’s a special kind of magic that happens when young performers step onto a stage — that moment when nerves turn into confidence, when imagination becomes storytelling, and when a familiar tale feels brand new again. ARC Performing Arts’ recent production of Frozen Kids captured that magic beautifully.

From the opening scene to the final bow, this cast poured their hearts into the world of Arendelle. Their energy, teamwork, and commitment to character made every moment feel vibrant and full of life. Photographing this production was a joy — not just because of the costumes and staging, but because of the emotion these performers brought to every beat of the story.

A Cast That Shined in Every Scene

Whether it was the warmth of sisterhood, the humor woven throughout the show, or the dramatic moments that held the audience still, these young actors delivered performances far beyond their years. Their expressions, movement, and connection to one another made for some truly memorable images.

Storytelling Through Movement and Music

One of the things I love most about photographing youth theater is capturing the moments that happen between the lines — the gestures, the reactions, the shared glances that reveal the heart of the story. This production was full of them.

From lively group numbers to emotional turning points, the cast brought a wonderful blend of enthusiasm and focus to the stage. Their dedication shows in every frame.

Behind the Scenes of a Magical Production

ARC Performing Arts continues to create an environment where young performers feel supported, challenged, and inspired. It’s clear in the way they take risks, collaborate, and celebrate each other’s successes. As a photographer, it’s a privilege to witness that growth and capture the moments families will treasure for years.

Looking Ahead

Thank you to ARC Performing Arts for inviting me to capture another wonderful production. I’m already excited to see what stories they bring to the stage next — and to continue documenting the creativity, courage, and joy these young performers bring to every rehearsal and performance.

30 Years Behind the Lens: Capturing the Magic of SKIT’s ‘Frozen’

There is a unique kind of magic that happens when the house lights go down and the stage lights come up. For the past 30 years, I have had the distinct honor of serving as the official photographer for Show Kids Invitational Theatre (SKIT). From the very first production to this weekend’s upcoming performance, capturing the emotion, the movement, and the “big moments” of theater remains one of my greatest passions.

Last night, I had the pleasure of photographing the Charlotte Cast (one of two talented casts!) during their final rehearsals for Disney’s Frozen.

A Sneak Peek at Arendelle

The energy this cast brings to the stage is nothing short of “chilling”—in the best way possible. From the intricate costume details to the powerhouse vocal performances, this production is a visual masterpiece. As a photographer, my goal is always to freeze those fleeting moments of stagecraft so they can be remembered long after the final curtain call.

Celebrating World Theatre Day with a Look Back at the Freddy Awards Gallery

Happy World Theatre Day!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that theatre isn’t just a performance — it’s a community, a heartbeat, and a place where young artists discover who they are. I’ve had the honor of photographing the Freddy Awards since 2013, and every season reminds me just how much talent, passion, and joy lives in our local high school theatre programs.

Each year, several of my Freddy Awards images were featured in the State Theatre Center for the Arts Gallery in Easton, PA. Seeing those moments — the emotion, the storytelling, the pure electricity of live theatre — displayed on the walls of such a historic venue was incredibly meaningful. It’s one thing to capture a performance; it’s another to see those images become part of the theater’s visual history.

This year’s gallery installation is already up, and if you’re curious which images made the cut, you can check them out any show night at the State Theatre. I’ll also be sharing some of them here on the blog in the coming weeks.

To celebrate World Theatre Day, I’m offering a special 10% off coupon for any previous Freddy Awards gallery items.
Use coupon code FREDDY10 at checkout — valid now through Sunday, March 31, 2026.

From the Swamp to the Sea: My Upcoming Show Season

A promotional graphic for Dabour Photography titled 'Photography & Videography by Dabour Photography.' The image features a collage of theatrical logos for upcoming Spring 2026 productions: Shrek The Musical, SpongeBob SquarePants The Broadway Musical, Finding Nemo Kids, Into the Woods, Frozen, The Wizard of Oz, and Sleeping Beauty.

What do Shrek, SpongeBob, Finding Nemo Kids, Into the Woods (x2), Frozen (x2), and Sleeping Beauty all have in common?

Aside from a suspicious amount of talking animals and magical curses… they’ve all booked me. Whether it’s capturing a swamp-dwelling ogre or a pineapple under the sea, I’ll be behind the lens providing photography and videography for every single one of these productions this season.

All of the above do not include all that I do for the Freddy Awards coming up in May!

Capturing Riley’s Spark: Headshots for a Dancer & Theater Star

I recently had the absolute pleasure of working with the incredibly talented Riley for a professional headshot session. Riley is a force to be reckoned with, balancing her demanding studies as both a dance and theater major!

From the moment she stepped in front of the camera, her passion and dedication were undeniable. We focused on capturing a range of expressions that showcased her versatility – from the thoughtful intensity required for dramatic roles to the approachable confidence perfect for dance and musical theater.

It’s always a treat to work with young artists who possess such drive and talent. We created images that truly reflect her personality and professional aspirations, providing her with the perfect tools for auditions and networking in the competitive worlds of dance and theater.

More to Come!

And the best part? This is just the beginning! I’m thrilled to announce that Riley will be returning to the studio soon for two more exciting sessions:
