Artistic Energy in the City: Welcoming Back Ellery!

We are so excited to have Ellery (@its_ellevalentine) back for her second year as a Dabour Photography Dance Ambassador!

Ellery isn’t just a dancer—she is a true performer with a deep love for theater, modeling, and concept-driven artistic sessions. That background shines through in everything she does. When other dancers are starting to run out of steam at the end of a long shoot, “Elle” is right there, bursting with energy and ready to create another frame-worthy shot!

Making New York City Come Alive

During our debut NYC Skyline Session, Ellery brought an electric, dynamic feel to every backdrop we visited.

She turned the Manhattan skyline into her personal stage, striking a stunning pose on the grass in a cobalt blue dress with One World Trade Center soaring in the distance.

Down along the waterfront, she paired a crisp white ballet tutu with a bold red leotard, rising effortlessly onto pointe as the wind caught her hair. Her ability to blend classical ballet technique with dramatic, theatrical modeling poses made the entire city backdrop pop with life.

Striking Poses: From Memorial Steel to Train Terminal Rafters

Ellery’s artistic versatility really stood out when we explored the architectural elements of our location:

  • The Empty Sky Memorial: Framing her line between the massive, reflective steel walls, Ellery created a powerful, statuesque portrait that captured pure elegance.
  • The Historic Train Terminal: Rising en pointe right in the center aisle under vintage glass arches, she delivered a fierce, high-fashion pose that looked straight out of a dance magazine.

Ellery’s infectious enthusiasm, endless stamina, and artistic vision make collaborating with her an absolute joy. I can’t wait to see what creative concepts we bring to life next during her second ambassador year!

Dedication & Grace: Ambassador Rylea’s NYC Skyline Dance Session

Year Two with Ambassador Rylea!

I am so proud to have Rylea (@balletlifeofrylea) back for her second year as a Dabour Photography Dance Ambassador!

Rylea is not only exceptionally talented, but she’s also local, always ready to collaborate, and continuously eager to create art. She spent a tremendous amount of time this past summer dedicated to honing her dance technique, and the results speak volumes. The precision, strength, and grace she brought to our NYC Skyline Session were truly breathtaking.

Chasing the Breeze in Royal Blue & White

One of the highlights of shooting with Rylea is watching how effortlessly she works with movement and fabric.

During our outdoor skyline portion, Rylea wore our long royal blue flow skirt. As a gentle breeze swept across the waterfront, she executed flawless extension poses, letting the vivid blue fabric fly dramatically against the Manhattan backdrop and One World Trade Center.

Later, as we stepped inside the historic train terminal, she changed into a flowing white skirt on pointe. Sweeping the fabric into a wide, dramatic arc under the terminal’s vintage glass and steel rafters, she created an absolute showstopper of a photo!

Versatility Across Iconic Backdrops

From a soaring grand jeté suspended high above the grass to a serene pose framed by the sleek silver pillars of the Empty Sky memorial, Rylea demonstrated incredible artistic range.

Her commitment to growth over the past year showed in every single frame—making every line cleaner, every leap higher, and every expression more effortless.

Having dedicated ambassadors like Rylea on the team makes these on-location shoots an absolute dream. I can’t wait to see what else we create together during her second ambassador year!

Kayley NYC Skyline Adventure

I am so excited to officially introduce one of our newest Dabour Photography Dance Ambassador: Kayley!

Kayley dances out of West Jersey Youth Ballet (@westjerseyyouthballet). Shooting on location in the city can be intimidating, but Kayley stepped right into the spotlight with incredible confidence, poise, and energy.

Following in Great Footsteps: A Sister Trio

Kayley is in good company—she happens to be the youngest sister to two of our established Dance Ambassadors, Zoey and Sydney!

Having two older sisters who share her passion for dance means Kayley has incredible role models to look up to both in the studio and in front of the camera. Watching all three sisters support, inspire, and pose alongside each other during this session was a total highlight.

From striking powerful trio poses inside the historic train terminal to creating individual magic against the skyline, this talented trio proved that brilliance definitely runs in the family.

High Fashion, Dynamic Lines, & Golden Hour

Kayley brought so much versatility to her individual portraits!

Whether she was flowing in a vibrant blue dress that caught the wind perfectly against One World Trade Center, showing off clean lines on the grass, or catching the soft golden hour light along the waterfront, she brought her absolute best to every shot.

Kayley’s dedication, technique, and joyful personality make her such a valuable addition to our ambassador team, and I can’t wait to capture even more of her journey this year!

Senior Year & Skyline Views: Zoey Takes New York Skyline

There is nothing quite like working with a dancer who has a clear artistic vision, exceptional talent, and pure passion for her craft. Zoey (@zoeydoesdance) is all of that and more! @westjerseyyouthballet

As one of our Dabour Photography Dance Ambassadors, Zoey joined us for our debut NYC Skyline Sessions—and as she steps into her senior year, this shoot was the perfect way to kick off a milestone season.

A Family Affair: Three Ambassadors on Location

What made this session extra special was that Zoey wasn’t on location alone—she was joined by her two sisters, who also happen to be Dabour Photography Dance Ambassadors!

Having all three sisters together on set created an incredible dynamic. Capturing their individual styles alongside their shared bond against the dramatic New York City backdrop brought so much energy, grace, and joy to the shoot.

There is a unique magic when family passion and performance come together, and seeing three talented sisters sharing the spotlight was an absolute highlight of the day.

Grace, Determination, & Vision

Working with Zoey is always a dream because she knows exactly what she wants out of a portrait session. She comes prepared with strong artistic direction, pristine technique, and a natural confidence that shines in front of the lens. She has even been my photo assistant in the past helping me with an on location dance portrait session for another dance studio and I hope she can help me in the future!

Whether executing precision poses against the sprawling skyline or exploring the dramatic architectural light inside the train terminal, Zoey delivered frame after frame of stunning imagery.

Looking Ahead: Capturing Zoey’s Senior Year

This NYC Skyline session is just the beginning of an extraordinary year for Zoey. Senior year is such a transformative chapter for any dancer, and I couldn’t be more excited to create even more incredible senior portraits with her as the season unfolds!
